Saini Community

Known as Shoorsaini in literature, we are settled in Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Our ancestors were Rajputs of the famed Yaduvanshi - Surasena lineage, originating from the Yadava King Shoorsen. King Porus, the opponent of Alexander is believed to belong to our sect. Many of our members hold distinguished records as soldiers. We profess faith in Hinduism and Sikhism.
